Extension Springs
We produce extension springs in wire diameters from 0.20 mm to 15.00 mm. Helical extension springs are similar to helical compression springs, but they work in tension rather than compression. Hooks at the ends allow the pulling force to be applied.
These springs resist pulling forces and, with few exceptions, their coils are wound closed. They are usually right-hand wound and made with initial tension. When the force applied to the spring exceeds this initial tension, the spring starts to deform.
